Typical Tour Schedule
Our tours depart Durango at 7-8:00 a.m. Tours will depart from our downtown location or at the location of your choice for private tours. Each tour group will be accompanied by our driver and our guide. En route we will enjoy a snack breakfast and a briefing about our tour program. Your guide will also begin his introduction to the destination and an informal overview of the days points of interest. Each tour guest receives a field guide and souvenir water bottle.
Upon arrival you have the chance to visit and walk among the sites. Your guide morning tour will begin with formal discussions about the site. While on location you will be able to explore ruins, photograph and touch the past. The tour will cover more than one site. Walking and hiking is expected. Questions and discussions with the guide are encouraged. There will be opportunities for photographs and exploring.
Water and lunch will be provided. During lunch the discussion continues about the Native America past and our place in it.
The afternoon tour and discussions continue. Refreshments and a light snack will be offered and a stop at the visitor’s center where they exist.
Tours return to Durango in the early evening, depending on the day’s location.
